I was holding a high plank and he came a kicked me in the stomach – and yes, I paid for this.
It’s part of my fight training, part of the mental toughness. Part of releasing the intimidation of getting hurt.
And let you tell me…I was terrified of joining Muay Thai. I was so intimidated by all the men.I was scared of the instructors.
It seemed like everyone was a professional fighter and I was just some blonde bimbo who was going to get knocked out within seconds of getting on the floor.
Of course, it wasn’t like that.
The guys were helpful, understanding and patient. The instructors were tough but not insane and it turns out, I was actually way better than most of them when it came to core strength and cardio conditioning…
Now the same intimidation I felt joining Muay Thai is the same level of intimidation that people feel when they join 10,000 Strong.
There is a fear that everyone is going to be this fitness freak badass that can bust out 50 pushups without breaking a sweat.
There is a fear that they will look like an idiot while trying to learn the exercises.
There is a fear that it will be “too much” and they will gas out before everyone else.
^^^ NONE OF THIS IS TRUE.
You will work at your own pace, you will be inspired by the stronger people (who ALL started out where you did BTW) and you can take a break when needed so you can complete the entire workout like a pro.
The good news is that we combine all our workouts with fat loss focused meal plans. This means that as you build sexy strong muscle on the floor, you won’t eat it all back with extra carbs when you get home.
Always need that 2 pronged approach to getting that hot bod 🙂
