“Oh, what I could do with your body” he told me as I sat down next to him. His eyes travelled over my chest, my stomach, my thighs and and legs as I subconsciously tried to suck in and flex all at the same time.
The bodybuilder I was sitting next to at a friends dinner party had already made a mental check list of all my flaws and then developed a diet and training plan that would “transform my body” and help me become a fitness cover model.
Except…I really didn't want to be a fitness model. This guy had merely assumed I did based on the fact that I owned a fitness and nutrition studio.
He automatically lumped me into a category of people who were hell bent on making all their curvy parts into right angles. To bare their washboard abs, to flex their biceps all while sporting a tan that would make Donald Trump jealous.
But the thing is….I am SO not in this industry to become a fitness model. I have no desire to get that lean. I don’t want to be on the cover of anything in a Bikini.
That’s so NOT my M.O.
And anyway…the loose skin from losing 120 pounds and the collection of stretch marks I amassed getting to 305 pounds are not exactly Cover Photo material…
….maybe they should be?? I don’t know.
But really, the entire point of my boot camp is to make people feel better.
Feeling better might be breaking the 200 pound mark on the scale.
Feeling better might be being able to lift a 2/4 of beer.
Feeling better might be ridding your body of bloating, allergies and tiredness.
Feeling better can be all sorts of things which means as a fitness studio we are not hyper focused on removing all your treats and taking over your life with impossible training schedules.
We are focused on offering flexible nutrition, proper supplementation suggestions and over 40 classes a week that you can come to any time.
Our studio is more about taking your LIFE into consideration. We are NOT here to take control of it.
If you think you are looking for a weight loss program that isn’t a dictatorship, then maybe you should come try is out for a couple of weeks.
We’re all about that Boot Camp and Chill…ya know:
