Celebrity X lost 50 lbs. in 4 weeks for their latest Oscar nominated role. I call bull$hit on that.

You see these companies that want to sell you these miracle pills are looking to make a quick buck because they know how desperate people can be when trying to lose weight. They never mention that these celebrities ate super clean and worked out with a trainer 2-3 hours a day.

They always fail to mention that part.

There is no shortage of quick fix, rapid weight loss and secrets of the stars companies out there. “Try this latest stack cycle to get ripped like the Rock” one random Facebook page ad claims. Because all the Rock does to get that amazing physique is stack some pills.

Yeah right. He eats so clean and works his ass of in the gym. PERIOD.

I find it so sad that people click these links and read these testimonials and take them as truth.

I also find it disturbing that there are people out there that don’t give a fugk about your health and only about lining their pockets as quickly as they can before they try and sell you their next bull$hit product.

Nutrition and weight loss doesn’t have to be as hard as we make it out to be.

It doesn’t have to be that complicated.

It doesn’t have to be one of these new fad diets where you eliminate certain types of foods or deprive yourself of the foods you enjoy.

Nutrition can be really simple. Eat real whole foods, drink plenty of water, move your ass in a high intensity workout for at least 30 minutes every day, get plenty of sleep and voila! The scale is crying less every time you step on it.

Here is a great tip to remember. If you are eating foods that have ONE ingredient you are likely going to be in good shape. Chicken, turkey, fresh caught salmon, eggs, fruits, nuts, vegetables etc. you are likely way ahead of the game.

It pisses me off when I walk through the grocery store and overhear a mom or dad reading the package of KD Smart Vegetable edition and they think it’s healthy.

Or buying Fruit to Go thinking its fruit and not chalked full of sugar. Buying Wonder “Smart” Bread when it is full of enriched flour and sugar. Just awful.

A guy I work with is diabetic and eats Fibre One bars and thinks those are a good option because he just reads and thinks “oh its high in fiber.” But it is loaded with sugar. He might as well eat a chocolate bar. You know what has more fiber and not the artificial processed version? Whole fruits and vegetables.

If it comes in a box and can last for months and months on end in a grocery store shelf it’s probably full of crap.

Don’t let these ginormous food companies tell you that their food is healthy because they put the latest buzzword on their products. You know what words I’m talking about. Gluten free, Fiber, Natural, fat free!

When you see the words Fat Free – think chemical shit storm! Fats are a good thing.

I can go on and on about the heartless food companies, but I want to get to the real reason I am writing this email.
