STOP IT YOU DIRTY BUGGER.

I’m not talking about THAT right now…

I’m talking about the other self love.

The love that helps you appreciate your body.

And….I use the word “appreciate” wisely.

It’s not easy to look in the mirror and instantly LOVE what we see.

But it’s much easier to **appreciate** what we see instead.

I might look in the mirror and shake my head as my thunder thighs clang together….

But I can also look at those thighs and remember the 5 sets of 160 lb squats I did yesterday.

I might look in the mirror and cringe at my “not so flat” stomach…

But I can also look in the mirror and remind myself that my stomach is strong, I can see the ab definition and looks pretty good in my LBD.

You can’t simply go around hating on yourself.

You can’t just wander around scolding yourself for “not being perfect”.

There come a point in every grown up’s life where we STOP worrying about being a cover model, and we start focusing on just being healthy and strong.

Are you there yet….?

After all, the only people I know that obsess about thigh gaps and cleavage selfies are teenage girls….and I am certainly glad I will never be one of those obnoxious creatures
ever again!
