Pumpkin Spice is in the air!

It’s also in cookies, cakes, muffins, coffee’s and pretty much everything else you can sprinkle that shit on.

But there is something very cozy about a warm latte that carries the toasty smell of cinnamon and nutmeg.

The hot apple pies and the warmed up pumpkin spiced breads dripping with butter.

These are the things memories are made off.

We hold on to precious food memories and we recreate them every year.

We bake with our children and instil the same fond memories that we have.

And with all the baking, the drinking and the buttering, somehow our diet has fallen by the way side.

AND whats more, if we start gobbling up all our Fall Faves, pretty soon we have moved onto our Christmas Confectionary.

It’s a very slippery slope.

So 2 things:

Pumpkin spice can easily be recreated with:

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon, 2 teaspoons ground ginger, 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg, 1 ½ teaspoons ground allspice and 1 ½ teaspoons ground cloves

If you stick with the natural spices, it’s 10 times healthier than anything fake they slap in your latte.

Next….you can actually stop the “slow gain” by working out at boot camp.

Burn off the calories, work on cravings with your nutritionist.

It doesn’t have to to mayhem till New Years.
