Look, I get it. Losing weight isn’t easy. If it was easy no one would be overweight. We wouldn’t have obese people and there wouldn’t be a rise in diabetes and other weight related health issues.

We would all be sporting our six packs and short shorts. Well I personally wouldn’t go for the short shorts, but rather normal length shorts with a cut off T or no t-shirt at all.

I have learned that the older I get, the harder losing weight becomes. Our bodies tend to hang on for dear life of that fat we have accumulated and it doesn’t want to let go.

My mom joined a local gym back in SSM this past year. She goes 4-5 times a week and does some cardio and weight training on the machines. I AM SO PROUD OF HER! Oh yeah…she is 70 years young. She is proof that it is never too late to get off your ass and make a change in your life.

While she has been going to the gym regularly she has unfortunately plateaued and was discouraged with her lack of results recently. She reminds me that the longer you wait, the harder it gets. I couldn’t agree more.
