Honestly, somedays I wonder….
This lady come to see me today and we were chatting about the meal plan that all my 5 week challengers are on….
I mean, this meal plan has ROCKED the house.
Everyone has loved it….one member told me “it changed her life”.
So when this lady started telling me how she hated the foods, that food prep was too hard and that she was grossed out by the ingredients…
I just had to sit there with a smile plastered on my face.
I pour my life into my recipe books. I pour my education into them.
And she is just ripping a strip off every single thing!!!!!
But then I realized >>>>>
…it’s not about me and my meal plan any more.
It’s actually about them feeling VERY uncomfortable with this whole experience.
It’s not easy to try a bunch of new recipes.
New foods can be challenging to the tastebuds.
Food prep is not quick and painless.
Trying to ignore cravings for salt and sugar is HARD during that first week.
I get it!
I was there once remember?
I’ve been through this whole ordeal more times than I care to recount.
As I sat there listening and trying to stay calm as 4 months of hard work was criticized and ridiculed,
I thought to myself that I bet there are hundreds of other people out there who HATE the discomfort of starting to get healthy.
After all, it’s the hardest part.
BUT I want you to know that you MUST GET COMFORTABLE BEING UNCOMFORTABLE….
For everything you want is just outside your comfort zone.
You gotta face the fears head on and do NOT blame anyone else for the way you feel.
If you really really hate the idea of working out….do it anyway.
If you really really don’t want to food prep….do it anyway.
If you cannot stand to drink plain water…..DO IT ANYWAY.
It will get easier….I promise.
If you are looking to get healthy and fit and need a place that understands how much you sincerely HATE change….
You gotta talk to me about WHY we are different.
Hit reply and lets hear it…I want you to lay it out for me 🙂
