Lets be honest. We have all had a headache here and there.

Maybe we are over tired, sick or need glasses.

But sometimes headaches can last longer….hours…days even.

When you start waking up with that dull ache you know you have a problem.

I have been through periods of stress headaches. They come from tension in the neck and go up and around the skull like a vice….ergh….

There are a few reasons why people suffer from headaches and migraines so lets cover off the main reasons:

1 –  Dehydration.

Symptoms: Starts later in the day and can be accompanied by tiredness. Tight feeling around the crown of the head and into forehead.

Remedy: DUH….drink MORE water. Aim for 2-3 liters a day. 4 litres if you weigh over 200 lbs.


2 – Tension.

Symptoms: Lasts for days and weeks and is apparent when you wake up in the morning. Radiates from the base of the skull but wraps around like a vice. Worsens with more stress.

Remedy: Chiropractic care and massage. Loosening up the muscles and realigning the spine will assist and tension reduction. Magic bags can help and obviously living stress free life…

Good luck with that "stress free life" though.


3 – Allergies

Symptoms: Can range from painful headache to full on migraine. 

Remedy: Work with a nutritionist to eliminate allergens from the diet and pinpoint triggers. Take proper supplementation to reduce inflammation and incorporate juicing as a daily habit.
